Elorde grandson battles Harianto

MANILA, Philippines - Juan Miguel “The Boss” Elorde battles tough Indonesian Fighter Oke Harianto this Saturday in a bout headlining the card promoted by Johnny Elorde Management International in cooperation with Parañaque City and the Rotary Club of Manila 101 at the grandballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.

Mig is going up as the main event bout after his elder brother Juan Martin “Bai” Elorde’s scheduled defense of his WBO Asia Pacific Super featherweight crown against Japanese Hirotsugu Yamamoto had been moved to a later date due to a sudden flu that Bai got barely a week before the fight.

In a letter to WBO Asia Pacific vice president Leon Panoncillo, Johnny Elorde said  Bai cannot fight as his attending physician advised for a rest of 45 days to enable him to recover fully. Johnny added that the WBO approved the postponement.

 Bai is currently rated No. 7 also in the World Boxing Council super featherweight division.

Mig, meanwhile is all set to fight it out with Indon Oke and vowed for a knock out win. Oke will try to avenge the successive defeats of  two Indon fighters from the hands of Mig last March 25 against Budi Risky and August 22, 2014 against Paulus Baransano.

In the supporting mainer, former amateur gold medallist Giemel Magramo faces Ruther Del Castillo in another 10 round bout.

Jeffrey Francisco from Palawan battles Jestoni Autida of Mandaluyong City, while up coming Jay Loto battles Ryan Bajala in 8 round bouts.

Two more 6 rounders and four 4-rounders will complete the card that will start at exactly 6PM.
