Pacquiao to Kia Sorento: Anong nangyari?

MACAU – “Boys, anong nangyari?”

This was how eight-division champion and Kia Sorento head coach Manny Pacquiao greeted his players when they met Friday night inside his suite at The Venetian Macao here.

After winning their opening game in the 37th season of PBA, the Sorento are on a slump, losing seven games in a row.

“Boss kailangan andoon kayo e,” forward Joshua Webb replied.

“Kailangan pa ba 'yun?” Pacquiao answered back.

Ironically, Pacquiao didn't play in the team's losses as he shifted his focus back to boxing and trained for his fight against Chris Algieri this Sunday at the Cotai Arena.

Kia is currently at the 11th spot with a 1-7 win-loss record –  just above winless Blackwater Elite – and Manny admitted that it is giving him a hard time.

“Sumasakit ang ulo ko kakaisip kung ano gagawin natin sa team natin para manalo,” the playing head coach said.

In the end, Pacquiao has one request to his team when he makes his PBA comeback this Wednesday against Purefoods.

“Kailangan 'pag andoon ako manalo tayo, 'wag niyo pasakitin ulo ko 'pag nakabalik na ako,” Pacquiao said.
