Sta Lucia pulverizes Uratex

MANILA, Philippines - Sta. Lucia Land Inc. routed Uratex Foam, 96-73, to nail its third straight win after an opening game setback to stay right behind unbeaten Hobe-JVS in the fourth DELeague Invitational basketball tournament at the Marikina Sports Center in Marikina City Tuesday night.

Billy Robles fired 15 points, snared four rebounds and dished off four assists as the Realtors followed up their 81-52 rout of Kawasaki Marikina and 85-71 romp over Supremo Lex Builders-OLFU with another easy win.

Jeff Vidal also drilled in 11 points and made three steals for Sta. Lucia, which dropped a 79-80 loss in overtime to defending champion Hobe Bihon-JVC.

Rey Publico shot 17 points and hauled down eight rebounds for Uratex, which slid to 1-2 in Group A.

In the other game, Supremo Lex Builders rolled past winless Philippine National Police, 89-71, to remain in contention for a semis berth in the league backed by Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman and sponsored by PCA Marivalley, St. Anthony Hospital, PS Bank Blue Wave Marquinton Branch, Luyong Restaurant Concepcion, McKie’s Equipment Sales and Rental and Tutor 911 with a 3-2 card.

Greb Vilalon scored 13 points for the Builders while Jaymar Misola led PNP, which dropped to 0-4, with 14 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, action in the DELeague resumes tonight with FEU-NRMF facing the MBL Selection of Marist School and Hobe-JVS taking on Kawasaki Marikina.
