Cantada Sports hosts Tanduay beach volley

MANILA, Philippines - The Tanduay Light Women’s Beach Volleyball Invitational starts Sunday at the sand court of the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig.

Teams composed of top players Judy Ann Caballejo-Camille Abanto, Sheryl Jane Denila-Gena Andaya, Angel Antipuesto-Neneng Tapic of Air Force; Jhona San Pedro-Priscilla Catacutan, Cielo Palahang-Nicole Manila of Rizal Technological University; Ronalyn Romerosa- Jonah Lorraine Hechanova of Earist Manila; and a team from Philippine Normal University are seeing action in the second staging of this major women’s beach volleyball event supported by Tanduay Light, sports benefactor Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr., Mapecon and Toyota Balintawak.

 The women’s beach volleyball invitational is organized by sportsmen Edgardo “Boy” Cantada and Gerard Cantada. Edgardo “Boy” Cantada is a duly elected director of the Philippine Volleyball Federation.

 Like in any sports event organized by the father-and-son promoting team, there are no entry fees.

Complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between are provided to all participants, officials and invited guests. Cash prizes await the winners in the one-day event.
