Jeron joins Kiefer in Iverson’s charity hoops

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - La Salle ace Jeron Teng has added his name on Team PCWorx, a selection of collegiate and former professional cage stars that will play an Allen Iverson-coached Ball Up Streetball All Stars in the “All In Charity Basketball” event set Nov. 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

This marks the first time Teng will team up with Ateneo rival Kiefer Ravena, the reigning UAAP MVP, in the event put up by PCWorx led by its managing director Michael Angelo Chua aimed at raising funds for the construction of 44 houses – equivalent to two communities – at the Gawad Kalinga Bulaklakan Chapter in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City.

With Teng and Ravena on Team PCWorx that will be handled by PBA grand slam coach Tim Cone are Troy Rosario of newly crowned UAAP champion National University and Mark Belo of Season 77 runner-up Far Eastern University.

Also on the team are Ateneo’s Thirdy Ravena, De La Salle’s Almond Vosotros, NCAA five-peat champion team San Beda’s Javee Mocon and Ola Adeogun and San Sebastian’s Jaymar Perez as well as ex-PBA stars Jerry Codinera, Renren Ritualo and two-time MVP Willie Miller.

The selection which will be outfitted by Accel will also parade former NBA stars Dermarr Johnson and Eddy Curry.

The Iverson-coached Ball Up Streetball All Stars is made up of Grayson “The Professor” Boucher, Larry “Bone Collector” Williams, Taurian “Air Up There” Fontanette, Gary “G-Smith” Smith, Aaron “AO” Owens, Anthony “Mr. Afrika” Pimble and Ryan “Special FX” Williams.

Tickets to the charity game set to start at 7 p.m. are still available online at www.smtickets.com at all SM Tickets outlets and all PCWorx branches.
