Triathlete gets boost from Phl gears

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Veteran internationalist Joyette Jopson and celebrity first-timer Victor Basa turned in respectable finishes in their respective triathlon events recently, both drawing boost from Rudy Project gears that have become sought-after partners for triathletes here and abroad.

Jopson bucked the odds against a crack international field as she conquered the 180km bike event of the IronMan Langkawi, Malaysia and emerged the top Filipina finisher in the stage.

“The course was challenging but it was so much fun. The race organization was top notch and I had a blast with the more than 120 Pinoys on race day. Spectators said they were easily able to spot me from afar with my neon pink Rudy Project Wingspan helmet,” said Jopson.

Basa, on the other hand, made a good account of himself in his first try in the Safeguard Active 5i50 Triathlon in Panglao, Bohol.

“For a first-timer, my transition bag helped ease my worries and I was able to keep my Wing 57 helmet safe during transit. Separate compartments for shoes, and labelled, color coded pouches for swim/bike/run/post-race clothing, smooth out the whole process of transporting all your essential gear. It’s highly recommended,” said Basa.

While hard work, stamina and determination remain the key to triathlon success, Rudy Project gears provide the intangibles to each campaigner’s bid.
