Jakarta offers golfing holiday in 30 courses
MANILA, Philippines - A unique golfing holiday awaits players and tourists alike with 30 courses of varying characters on tap in the Enjoy Jakarta Golf, an Indonesian international golf tourism campaign aimed at luring golfers from around the world.
Designed by world-renowned players-designers, including Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Robert Trent Jones Jr., Jakarta’s golf courses are easily accessible and highly enjoyable at reasonable prices with the layouts in and around the city best categorized by their orientations.
The East and South Jakarta offers four courses each, including the 36-hole layout at Padang Golf Halim and the 27-hole course at Royale Jakarta Golf Club (East), and the championship courses at Pondok Indah and Senayan National Golf Club.
Within 45-60 minutes, golfers can escape the city and play at a number of top courses dotted throughout the nearby countryside and highlands, including the Damai Indah Golf BSD Course and the Imperial Klub Golf in West of the capital city.
In South of Jakarta and Bogor Highlands, there are nine courses on tap, including the 36-hole Emeralda Golf and Country Club, a regular Asian Tour venue, the Rainbow Hills, the Palm Hill, and the Sentul Highlands.
“With so many courses in and around Jakarta to choose from, we can assure that golf players and visitors would really love the Jakarta golf experience,” said Hari Wibowo, manager of International Promotion for Enjoy Jakarta.
Aside from the quality of the courses, Wibowo said the caddy culture and the sheer variety and accessibility of the experience, not to mention the clubhouse hospitality, will draw more and more players to take a golfing holiday in Indonesia’s bustling capital city.
The campaign is actually a six-month promotional effort in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Australia to deliver a clear message to golfers to consider Jakarta for their next golf break.
