Bulldogs fight back, force decider

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The National University Bulldogs came off the leash Wednesday with a monstrous start  and never looked back, hacking out a 62-47 win over the FEU Tamaraws to send their UAAP Finals series to a do-or-die Game 3.

The Bulldogs started the game with guns ablaze, mounting a 20-6 lead bridging the first and second quarters and kept the Tamaraws at bay in a game that drew a record 24,896 fans at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

2014 UAAP Most Improved Player Jeth Rosario scattered 19 points to lead the Bulldogs, who are seeking their first title in almost six decades.

The deciding Game 3 is slated next Wednesday, Oct. 15.
