MEXICO CITY — Mexican first-division club Queretaro says it has signed former Brazil star Ronaldinho.
Club owner Olegario Vazquez Aldir made the announcement on Friday on Twitter.
The 34-year-old Ronaldinho had been without a club since leaving Brazil's Atletico Mineiro in July and had been negotiating with several clubs. The two-time FIFA world player of the year helped Atletico Mineiro win last year's Copa Libertadores for the first time.
Financial details were not officially released by the Mexican club, which is currently eighth in the Apertura tournament.
Ronaldinho has played in Brazil since returning from Europe in 2011 after a successful career at clubs such as Barcelona and AC Milan.
The playmaker was Brazil's starter in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, but was left out of the tournament in 2010 and 2014.
