MANILA, Philippines - University of the Philippines coach Rey Madrid is in hot water again for his outburst in the Maroons’ 65-77 loss to Santo Tomas last Wednesday.
Madrid was thrown out in the first quarter after incurring back-to-back technical fouls for entering the court and vehemently protesting a perceived non-call.
Commissioner Andy Jao has formally asked Madrid to “explain his actions” before deciding on the case, which could mean possible sanction.
Madrid had earlier served a two-game suspension for accusing the referees of “shenanigans” in UP’s first round loss to UST.
