MANILA, Philippines - Philip Paniamogan goes all-out as Jose Rizal U tries to  rejoin Perpetual Help and St. Benilde at third when it takes on lowly Emilio Aguinaldo College today in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

One of league’s scoring leaders, Paniamogan was left undrafted in last Sunday’s PBA rookie draft but the ace JRU shooter remains unfazed and is raring to showcase his talent and skills.

“I’m just going out there to play and help the team in whatever way I can,” said Paniamogan in Pilipino.

The Bombers, toting a 6-4 card, are fancied over the Generals in their 2 p.m. encounter with the latter down in the rankings with just three wins to show in 10 games.

San Sebastian (3-8) and Mapua (1-10), meanwhile, tangle at 4 p.m. in a duel of tailenders.

But focus will be on Paniamogan, JRU’s leading scorer with an 18.80-point norm, which is second to Perpetual Help’s Juneric Baloria, who averages 20.91 points.

“Our main strength is our defense. But when we need scoring, we rely on him (Paniamogan),” said JRU coach Vergel Meneses.

Paniamogan, who also finished runner-up to St. Benilde’s Fil-Am Travis Jonson in the recent NCAA All-Star’s three-point shootout, is shooting 34 percent from beyond the arc and 84 percent from the foul line.
