UCAA unfolds 13th season with triplebill
MANILA, Philippines - A three-game bill in basketball will kick off the 13th season of the Universities and Colleges Athletics Association (UCAA) on Saturday at the Blue Eagle gym in Katipunan Ave., Quezon City.
Host Philippine School of Business Administration takes on Trinity University of Asia in the 10 a.m. opener while Manuel L. Quezon University clashes with Philippine Nautical and Technical College at 11:30 a.m.
Defending champion Rizal Technological University, meanwhile, opens defense of its crown against Olivarez College at 1 p.m.
UCAA president Tisha Abundo of PSBA said the league has grown and become better with the talented athletes it has developed through the years.
“This tournament used to be organized for tune-up games. Now, it has grown into something much better,” said Abundo during yesterday’s PSA Forum at Shakey’s Malate.
