MANILA, Philippines - Jay Bayron bogeyed No. 9 and settled for a 71, dropping to joint 12th, four strokes behind new leaders Niall Turner of Ireland and Aussie Michael Moore midway through the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament of the Asian Development Tour at the Damai indah Golf BSD Course in Jakarta yesterday.
Bayron matched his five-birdie feat in shooting a 69 in Thursday’s opener of the $100,000 event but fumbled with four bogeys for that 35-36 card and a 140.
That was four shots off Turner and Moore who surged ahead at 136 after a 67 and 65, respectively, as overnight leader James Byrne of Scotland limped with a 74 and slid to joint sixth at 138.
Rufino Bayron, winner of an ADT event at the Orchard last June, rebounded with a 69 after a 74 for a 143 in a tie with Michael Bibat, who struggled with a 73 after a 70.
Miguel Ochoa matched par 72 and made the cut at 145 but Carl Santos-Ocampo missed the weekend play with a 148 after a 73.
