Milo Olympics NCR leg up in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines - The big stage is set for the NCR eliminations of the 27th Milo Little Olympics with over 5,000 athletes from around 800 school-based teams eyeing tickets to the National Finals in October.

Milo Sports executive director Robbie de Vera yesterday bared the details of this year’s Milo Olympics when he graced the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum at Shakey’s Malate.

After nearly three decades, the Milo Little Olympics is just getting bigger, stronger and better, and continues to provide a perfect venue for the country’s young and promising athletes.

“We are proud to say that the Milo Little Olympics is able to contribute tremendously to the discovery and progress of local talent,” he said.

The Visayas leg concluded in Cebu City last Sunday with University of San Carlos dominating the wide opposition in both the elementary and secondary levels.

The NCR leg, according to Milo Little Olympics national organizer Robert Calo, will comprise of 5,000 athletes from 803 schools that will vie in 13 sports disciplines.
