Team Accel backs Huelgas

MANILA, Philippines - Team Accel will accompany triathlete Nikko Huelgas in all his campaigns overseas.

Accel has recently brought in Huelgas as part of its growing list of athletes with the potential to shine in overseas tournaments.

“Nikko is the future of Philippine triathlon and we, at Sporteum Philippines, Inc., want to be with him every step of the way,’’ said Sporteum Philippines, Inc. president Willie Ortiz.

Huelgas, 22, is the current national triathlon champion after dominating the sport in the Philippine National Games early this year. He will train for 31 days with lady triathlete Kim Mangrobang in Rio Maior, Portugal, in their buildup for the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, in September.
