MANILA, Philippines - Miguel Tabuena parred the last five holes and carded a second straight 71, setting for joint second with three others in the typhoon-hit Taifong Open of the Asian Development Tour at the Taifong Golf Club in Taiwan yesterday.
Tabuena actually finished tied for first at 212 with local bets Chan Shih-chang, Sung Mao-chang and Hsieh Tung-shu and Thai Suppakorn Uthaipat but bowed out, with Sung and Uthaipat, on the first playoff hole. Chan, who closed out with a bogey-free 67, outlasted Hsieh on the fourth extra hole. Tabuena pocketed $11,400.
