Chua dominates Class E in jungolf season opener

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Andrew Chua flashed top form as he ruled the boys Class E division of the first leg of the ICTSI-JGFP School Season Tour conducted by The Junior Golfers League at the Philippine Navy and Philippine Army courses recently.

Chua, a Grade 3 student at Makati Hope Christian School, carded rounds of 52 and 57 for the lowest aggregate scores of 109, beating Vince Tiamsic by 10 in the 7-8 age division.

The event served as part of Chua’s buildup for the US Kids World Golf Championship, the Veritas World and the ICTSI-JGFP Interschool Championships.

Sean Ramos and Sean Granada, meanwhile, produced similar 84-point totals in the best two-out-of-three-round competition but the former took the top honors in the event.

Aldo Barro and Annika Cedo dominated Class A (15-17 years), Marc Corrales and Tomi Arejola prevailed in Class B (13-14 years), Josh Jorge and Mariel Tee ruled Class C (11-12), while Sam Dizon took the Class D girls honors.

Maria Theresa Dela Paz reigned in Class E (7-8) while Granada and Reese Ng topped Class F (6 and under).
