Tempra Run vs dengue up
MANILA, Philippines - Tempra, in cooperation with Subterranean Ideas and the city government of Pasay, is holding the 2014 Tempra Run Against Dengue on July 20 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines grounds.
Part of net proceeds from the advocacy run, also backed by Pasay City, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Medicard, Toby’s and Guard Insect Repellent, will be used to purchase various anti-dengue modalities for day-care centers and barangays in the city.
Four categories comprise the fun run, now on its third year. These are the 10K (P500), 4K (P400), 2K (P350) and Family Run (P300 each runner), the event’s newest division featuring a parent (or parents) running 1K with his or her kid/s.
To qualify for the raffle and get a P50 discount on the rates, runners must bring one empty box of Tempra syrup or drops or 10 empty blister packs of Tempra tablets to join. Only runners with Tempra entries will be entitled to the raffle for a chance to win any of these prizes – LED TV, mountain bike, tablet, android phone, hotel accommodations, Star City GCs, Food GCs and movie passes. More empty Tempra boxes/blister packs give more chances in the raffle of prizes.
The advocacy run aims to demonstrate the power of collaborative efforts, using sports as one of the main tools, to provide information campaign about the danger of dengue and conduct activities to fight this epidemic.
Toby’s Arena in Glorietta 2 and Toby’s-SM Manila are the registration partners. Runners may also register at the site an hour prior to the gun start of the 10K run on race day.
