CKSC, Adamson arrange title duel

MANILA, Philippines - Chiang Kai Shek College and Adamson fashioned out similar convincing wins to set a title showdown in the 15-under division of the Headstart Developmental Basketball League (HDBL) Freshgear Cup Interclub at the SGS gym on Araneta Ave., Quezon City recently.

With seven players scoring eight points or more, the CKSC Dragons outclassed MasterBox, 85-27, while the Baby Falcons clobbered the St. Jude Catholic School side, 90-36.

The Dragons and the Baby Falcons dispute the crown today with Adamson’s Gerry Abadiano and Robbi Darang expected to deliver again after scoring 23 and 20 points, respectively, in their runaway victory over St. Jude

But Adamson will have to clamp down on David Uy and Gershon Montes who combined for 34 points and 22 rebounds against MasterBox.

Led by Geo Cruz, CKSC also advanced to the finals of the 12-under tournament presented by Freshgear with Duralite, AXA and Iwata as sponsors after the topping the elims.

It will face iCure of Jubilee Academy, which finished second in the elims. The event was organized by Edster Sy with Willy Chan as tournament director.
