Boxing tonight at Elorde gym

MANILA, Philippines - Another blockbuster boxing event returns to the Flash Grandballroom of the Elorde Sports Center on Sucat Road, Parañaque when Johnny Elorde Management International, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila 101, presents a double main event card starting at 6 p.m.

Philippine No. 4 lightflyweight contender Rene Patillano from Johnny Elorde stable faces battle-tested Tanza, Cavite native Ricky Oyan  who is fighting under the  Moreno stable.

Patillano, one of the promising boxers of the Elordes, will try to make an impressive win to have the chance to fight for the Philippine crown and get back into the international ratings.  Last year he fought for the Pan Asia Boxing Association championship fight but lost on a controversial decision over Randy Petalcorin.

In the companion main event, undefeated Giemel Magrmo, son of former Orient champion Melvin Magramo battles Pit Anacaya in 10 round bout.

Supporting mainers will feature Jay Loto against Lester Abutan and Diomel Diocos versus Rey Medez in eight-round bouts.

The preliminaries will feature Jetlee Formentera vs Eric Apolinario, Marlon Paniamogan against Reagan Bulan and Wilbert Berondo versus Brendo Bongkikito.
