MANILA, Philippines - Visayas champion Cebu City notched two easy victories to stay unbeaten in the PBA Coca-Cola Youngstars National Finals at the JCSGO gym in Cubao recently.
The Cebuanos crushed Manila-KABAKA, 65-50, before posted a 52-39 romp previously undefeated Valenzuela, which swept the National Capital Region leg.
Theo Joshua Flores had 20 points and Jifford Aljon Cahigas added 17 markers against the Big City cagers, who fell to 1-2. The duo also combined for 30 markers against Valenzuela (2-1).
Batangas, the Southern Luzon qualifier, also came away with back-to-back wins and Northern Luzon bet Pampanga snapped a two-game skid.
Batangas, drawing 19 points from Arturo Oliva III, trounced Pampanga, 65-55, before routing Cagayan de Oro, 71-38.
Pampanga, meanwhile, got 22 points from Neil Jay Tolentino and 16 markers each from Justin Dale Bondoc and John Benedict Lepana as it Manila, 74-55, for a 1-2 card.
Valenzuela, meanwhile, rapped Cagayan de Oro, 68-44, as it primed up for its encounter with Cebu City.
