Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions with Univet Thunderbird, Sagupaan Complexor 3000, Supremo Feeds, B-Meg and Petron as sponsors, the blue-ribbon event will again adopt a 2-2-4 format with two separate two-cock eliminations on June 2 and 3; two separate two-cock semis on June 4 and 5 to be followed by the four-cock finals for entries with 2, 2.5 and 3 points on June 7 and capped with the four-cock grand finals on June 8 among all undefeated bets with 3.5 or 4 points.
Mendoza, who topped the Cong. Unabia one-day six-cocker in Cagayan de Oro City and Barkadahan derby double champion Sonny Lagon are expected to lead the Filipinos’ bid again after Vice Mayor Jubee Navarro emerged solo champion in last January’s staging of the event.
