Bahadoran, Capadocia get Peak Form rehab
MANILA, Philippines - Injured football star Misagh Bahadoran returned just in time for the Asian Football Confederation Challenge Cup and young tennis sensation Marian Capadocia is on track for all major competitions this year.
Bahadoran, a member of the Philippine Azkals, was diagnosed to have a medial collateral ligament (MCL) tear a few months ago. But he was able to come back to active playing status after visits to the Peak Form sports clinic of Dr. Edgar Michael Eufemio.
“I had an MCL injury and was expected to be sidelined for two months but I was able to return to training in just three weeks,†said the 27-year-old Global FC mainstay, referring to Peak Form’s effective rehab techniques.
He also assures the Azkals supporters that he will be ready, and plans to be a major contributor to the team if ever he is tapped by American mentor Thomas Dooley in the AFC Challenge Cup starting May 19 in Maldives.
“The most important thing is my health and fitness. I’ve had many injuries in the past but I’m okay now. Everybody will be 100 percent for the Challenge Cup. We have a good chance to do really well. Coach has us ready…â€
Capadocia, the country’s number one tennis player, credits Peak Form for helping her to stay mentally and physically fit for all her tournaments.

“As a sports management company, our main objective is to keep our athletes playing the sport that they love. It takes just one injury to shorten, or even end,a player’s career. Aside from skills and attitude, an athlete’s longevity in their sport depends on how fit they are,†said Mel Macasaquit, head of Mel Mac Sports Management.
“Peak Form is the backbone of Mel Mac athletes. When we see a player down on the field, only one name pops up in our heads – Dr. Edgar Michael Eufemio,†he says. “His credibility speaks for itself.â€
Peak Form will launch a one-of-a-kind fitness test on May 18, Sunday, at Fisher Mall in Quezon City. Athletes of all ages, shapes and sizes will participate in this event, starting at 11 a.m.
Called the Peak Form Fitness Quotient (or FQ)Test, this is the first time an examination will be conducted to measure all components of fitness – strength, explosiveness, speed, agility, balance, flexibility, coordination, endurance, recovery and mental.
It is also the first time that all stations are adjusted to an athlete’s height and weight. After going through this test, we can finally say who is, pound for pound, inch for inch, the fittest of them all.
Find out your strengths and weaknesses; know what you need to work on. “This will really help everybody,†says Dr. Gar.
This event is supported by Chris Sports, the official fitness and sports equipment partner, MelMac Sports Management, SpectrumedInc., Sonya Trading, Pocari Sweat, Ceres Fruit Juice, Milo and GNC.
“When FQ was launched, we were able to gauge the fitness level of our athletes. For years, we had to rely on what the players tell us. It’sa given that a player won’t tell you he’s not fit to play until he can no longer walk,†says Macasaquit.
“With this new technology (FQ), we will have better athletes competing for the country.â€
After the launch, the FQ Test will be permanently housed at Gold’s Gym Sheridan as its official testing center.
