Tubod CS booters rule cluster meet

MANILA, Philippines - Tubod Central School topped the 13-under category while Magsaysay Central School dominated the 11-U side as they led the winners in the first provincial cluster football tournament at the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) Football Stadium in Tubod town, Lanao del Norte recently.

Abaga DLRC Central School finished second to Tubod CS with Cathedral Falls Elementary School and Rufo dela Cruz Memorial School finishing third and fourth, respectively.

Baroy Central School, on the other hand, turned in a runner-up finish in the 11-U division with Esperanza Elementary School and Abaga DLRC Central School ending up third and fourth, respectively.

Mukas Elementary School defeated Abaga DLRC Central School to claim the 9-under title with Tambacon Elementary School and PBLMS of Rebe, Lala winding up third and fourth, respectively.

Fifty-one football teams represented by over 600 kids from various elementary schools in the province took part in the event staged under the “Kabataan Sigurado” program of Gov. Khalid Dimaporo and organized by the Provincial Community Affairs Office through its Sports Coordinator Nelson Lasola and Football Consultant Julius Lyndon Pomar.

The event was backed by Philippine Red Cross-Lanao del Norte Chapter.
