World cockers meet unwraps at Ynares
MANILA, Philippines - The World Championship Derby of the National Cockers Alliance gets going today with a crack field of entries from the top cockers and breeders clashing for top honors at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Derby enthusiasts brace for a slambang action among the entries of Mayor Goto, Bong Pineda, Ramon Mancenares, Tito Den, Gov. Plaza, Rene Adao, Tatay Ador, Boyet Legazpi, Boy Martinez, Ronald Barandino, Arman Teves, Cholo Violago, Niño Yee and Jomar Hizon.
Others tipped to contend with their top bets are Boy de Roca, Magno Lim, Pipo Soliman, Vic Yap, Ferdie Eusebio, Jun Mendoza, Gerry Fevidal, Nestor Gualberto, Celso Evangelista, Henry Tan with two entries, Batangas-Surigao Group, Romy Lim, Manny Sazon, JV Magsaysay, RJ Mejia and Tokwing.
The World Championship Derby is the highlight of the NCA sports calendar. It features nerve-wracking matches among the toughest roosters from the country’s leading breeders.
The NCA assures participants and spectators alike that the WCD will be conducted in the utmost fairness, transparency, honesty, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
The other derby dates are on May 15 and 17.
