Sports briefs: 40 boxing gyms vie in Elorde UKC

MANILA, Philippines - Forty boxing gyms will be participating in over 300 bouts in Elorde’s Ultimate Knockout Challenge (UKC) “Afterburn” featuring amateur mixed martial arts, muay thai and boxing matches.

Beginner and advanced boxing bouts will be held May 31, starting at 10 a.m., while MMA and muay thai will be held June 1, at 10 a.m. Both will be held at the Elorde Sports Complex on Sucat, Parañaque.

UKC XVI is presented by San Miguel Corp., Rexona, Globe, Top King,  Gatorade, Suncoast, Nature Spring, Hayabusa, Cortal (Pharmarex), Perkinsdol, Bodi Bance, K1, Everlast and Elorde branches.
