Top cockers clash in NCA derby today

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds another six-cock derby today with a stellar field of cockers parading their top-notch entries at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Luding Boongaling, Eugene Martin, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Pol Estrellado, Arnold Mendoza, Elan Nagano, Rene Medina and Claude Bautista head the crack roster of NCA members slugging it out with the event’s guests, including Tokwing, Ferdie Eusebio, Celso Evangelista, Tady Palma, Osang dela Cruz with an additional entry, Jomar Hizon, Madlangbayan brothers and Edwin Jingco.

Others fielding in their entries in the event hosted by Efren Canlas, Jet Fernando, Jingco and Madlangbayan brothers and Rep. Patrick Antonio, are NCA mainstays Edgar Santos, Ruel Ricafort, Gov. Ito Ynares, Ronnie Puno, Phil Sy, Bong Pineda, Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Bebot Uy, Brown, Manny Santos, Armand Santos, Jun Diamante, Jose Panganiban, the Firefly Group, Bebot Uy, Jun Soriano, Mario Villamor, Pete Unabia, Cesar Dy, Edwin Tose, Tonton Uy, James Uy, Jun Topacio, Jap Atienza, JR Tolentino and Atong Ang.

Meanwhile, Efren Canlas and Jimafer pooled 55 1/2 points to pace the NCA cocker of the year race, seven points ahead of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy, who assembled 48 1/2 points.  Antonio has 45 1/2 points while Bebot Uy and Jun Soriano and Rep. Joseph Panganiban have 44 points each.
