British envoy to host street kid booters ………

MANILA, Philippines - British Ambassador Asif Ahmad will be hosting a practice session for the British Embassy’s kids street football team from GK Pinagsama at his Residence from 11 a.m. -1 p.m., followed by refreshments at 1-2 p.m.

 The team will compete in the Ambassador’s Cup on May 10, an inter-Embassy tournament in which each embassy is represented by a local street football team of kids under the age of 15.

 The Ambassador’s Cup aims to give back to the community and to foster friendly cooperation and competition between the embassies in Manila.  The children participating are beginners to the sport and have been training during the month of April by a community coach.
