Salud to summon Guiao, Hodge over confrontation

MANILA, Philippines – PBA commissioner Chito Salud will summon in his office on Friday Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao and Meralco player Cliff Hodge to shed light on the commotion that broke at the end of the RoS-Meralco tiff Wednesday.

Hodge threw a grievous foul on RoS rookie Raymond Almazan, prompting the fiery RoS mentor to confront the Meralco forward at the end of the match. Guiao was heard on TV calling Hodge “mongoloid.”

“Name-calling and the use of insulting language will have consequences, and that’s reason why I’ve invited coach Yeng over tomorrow (Friday),” said Salud.

On Hodge’s infraction, Salud said: “In my mind, it’s easily reviewable for a possible flagrant foul and that’s why Hodge is also being summoned for a possible upgrade.”
