Manglicmot, Sabater cop ABC singles crowns

MANILA, Philippines - Dante Manglicmot of Emerald Pipes turned in a six-game series of 1359 to bag the Group 1 title while May Sabater of Miraga Trading took the Group 2 plum with 1132 in the Architects Bowling Club’s singles event at E Lanes Center, Ortigas Ave. Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Jimmy Ocampo of Duraflex TW Wires finished second with a 1305, while Rod Salamat of Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental had 1293 for third in Group 1 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Violy Magsakay of Boysen Acrytex submitted a 1119 and Tony Sabater of DN Steel made a 1098 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, the Steeltech team of Ronnie Javier, Rod Salamat and Denis Jalandoon pooled a 1912 to capture the Group 1 crown, beating Boysen’s Hermie Prudente, Noel del Rosario and Richie Poblete (1832). The Boysen squad of Jerry Cham, Lito Zubiri and Sonny Esguerra dominated Group 2 with a 1636, defeating the Crown Pipe team of Boyet Libiran, Lino Santiago and Toto Abean (1462).

The event, backed by Romari Const, E.S.Vidal Builders, PNS Advanced Steel Tech, Moldex Pipes, Coach Furnitures, WeKonstruct, Glass Asia, Concrete Ventures, Philflex Wires and Cables, Duraflex THW/THHN Wires, Morning Sun, Boysen Knoxout/ Wallguard/Healthy Homes, Consnet Builders and Novelle Furnitures, resumes at 5 p.m. today with the resumption of the 37th anniversary tournament, also at E Lanes.
