SMB-Manila, RoS Munti, TnT-QC fives pull through

MANILA, Philippines - Rain or Shine-Muntinlupa and San Miguel Beer-Manila/KABAKA blasted separate rivals yesterday while Talk ‘N Text-Quezon City went through a wringer in the 2014 Gatorade Batang PBA Summer League at the San Juan gym.

Manila-KABAKA, behind Nicole Quinal’s 10 points, routed Air21 Express-Las Piñas, 37-21, for its third win in five games, while Muntinlupa drubbed Barangay Ginebra-Valenzuela, 49-39, for a 2-1 card. Joaquin Josef Espina scored 13 points and Jhayzine Kean Conwi added 11 markers for Muntinlupa.

In the game, TNT-Quezon City, with Jess Mer Bandong firing 12 points, edged Meralco-Pasig, 37-36, to even its card at 2-2.

Meanwhile, action resumes today at the JSCGO gym in Cubao with Air21 Express-Las Piñas battling PBA Greats-Caloocan at 9 a.m., PBA Stalwarts-Taguig facing Barako Bull-San Juan at 10:20 a.m., and San Mig Super Coffee-Antipolo meeting Talk ‘N Text-Quezon City at 11:40 a.m.
