Jalandoon, Magsakay pace ABC anniversary bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Denis Jalandoon of Glass Asia waxed hot with an eight-game series 888 to lead the Group 1 while Violy Magsakay of Boysen Acrytex rolled 721 to grab the top spot in Group B in the Architects Bowling Club’s 37th anniversary bowl at E Lanes Center, Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Rod Salamat of Goldbridge Dental scored 886 and Hermie Prudente of Moldex Pipes had 885 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group 1, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Malou del Rosario of Morning Sun came up with 702 and Ricky Martinez of Philflex Wires submitted 693 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, the tandem of Ronnie Javier and Denis Jalandoon of Steeltech dominated Group 1 doubles with 1352 to beat Boyet Libiran and Hermi Prudente of Duraflex TW Wires (1165) and the duo of Dante Manglicmot and Manny Padit of Philflex Cables (1137), in Group 1. Group 2 doubles leaders are Eugene Ferarris and Shin Suzuki of PNS Advanced Steel (1067), followed by Tony Sabater and Frederick Chuongco of Boysen Paints (1038) and E.S.Vidal Builders tandem of Abe Firmeza and Violy Magsakay (978).

The tournament, backed by DN Steel, Romari Constructions, WeKonstruct, Coach Furnitures, Crown Pipes, Miraga Trading, Duraflex THW/THHN Wires, Conc. Ventures, Boysen Knoxout/Wallguard/Healthy Homes, Emerald Pipes, Consnet Builders and Novelle Furnitures, resumes at 7 tonight with the resumption of the anniversary bowling, also at E Lanes.
