MANILA, Philippines - Jennifer Rosales continued to flounder, hobbling with a four-over 76 to drop to a share of 47th in the third round of the Kraft Nabisco Open jointly paced by Americans Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson at the Mission Hills Country Club’s Dinah Shore course in California Saturday.
Rosales struggled with five bogeys with only a birdie to show on No. 5 as she fell way behind at 219 with nine others, 13 strokes off the pace.
Wie fired a 68 to tie Thompson, who carded a 69, at 206, two strokes ahead of Charley Hull of England and Korean ace Se Ri Pak, heading to the final 18 holes of the $2 million event, the first major of this year’s LPGA Tour.
Hull shot the day’s best of six-under 66 while Park had a 71 to keep themselves in title contention.
Rosales, a two-time LPGA winner, groped for form off the tee for the second straight day, hitting just seven fairways while missing the green 10 times, saving half of them. She also struggled on the bunker, failing to rescue pars in three times that she went out of regulation.
