MANILA, Philippines -- In the other match, Santo Tomas drew strength from teen sensation EJ Laure as it repulsed Far Eastern U, 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 25-13, Sunday to nail its first victory in two assignments in the Shakey's V-league Season 11-1st Confercence at The Arena in San Juan City.
Laure, a daughter of former MBA star and PBA journeyman Eddie who is playing here as a guest player since she just graduated from high school, led the Tigresses with 17 hits including 13 on kills.
Jesey de Leon, Pam Lastimosa, niece of former PBA star Jojo, and Chlodia Cortez provided the needed back up by scattering 16, 15 and 11, respectively.
