Cagayan Valley tops NCA derby

MANILA, Philippines - Cagayan Valley Rising Sun of Gov. Antonio scored six points to emerge solo champion in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City recently.

Binangonan of Gov. Ito Ynares and SR Pedro Joshua of Rep. Unabia scored 5 1/2 points apiece to share runner-up honors while Firefly 15 of Ernie Austria placed fourth with five points.

Lucky Money RM of Rene Medina wound up with 4 1/2 points while Vertical Limit of Tonton Uy, LB Candelaria and Pugad of Ka Luding, Vice Gov. of Vice Gov. Odi Fausto, Pasay 7-Cock of Rep. Patrick Antonio, SF Blue Quartz 1 of Bebot Uy, Flying Horse of Rep. Panganiban and PS Govic Hot City of Pipo Soliman and Gov. Vic Yap ended up with four points each.

Meanwhile, action in the weekly event resumes on Tuesday with another NCA six-cock derby to be hosted by Edwin Tose, Tonton Uy, James Uy, Jun Topacio, Jap Atienza and JR Tolentino and sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
