Bradley knows what to expect

MANILA, Philippines - Timothy Bradley has gotten the ire of Manny Pacquiao that he knows what the Filipino boxer has in mind as they head for their rematch on April 12 in Las Vegas.

Bradley thinks Pacquiao might go after him like hell.

“Pacquiao is going to be vicious.  I think I pissed him off.  I got under his skin by saying that he lost it (killer instinct),” Bradley told yesterday’s media conference call.

“Everyone knows what Manny Pacquiao is going to do. He is going to try to bring the fight to me and I am just going to show everyone it is not going to work,” added the undefeated champion.

The reigning WBO welterweight champion said he knows what to do but he’s not about to say what he’s going to do.

“I am not going to give away my game plan right now,” he said.

Someone even said Bradley saying that Pacquiao has lost it all will prove to be his biggest mistake.

But if that’s part of the game plan, then it must have worked because Pacquiao vowed to go after Bradley and “hunt him down.”

That could be part of the ploy because Bradley can hope that Pacquiao gets as careless as he went for the kill against Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.

Pacquiao thought he had Marquez in deep trouble in the sixth round but as he went in he left himself open for Marquez’ right and was knocked out with only a second left.

Pacquiao said the last thing he remembered in that fight was him making a double fake as he prepared to throw his left straight.

The rest is history.

Bradley is setting up a trap for Pacquiao.

At the same time, the 30-year-old American said he won’t make that mistake.

“The one thing I have learned is to not be reckless and not get away from the game plan and listen to my corner, so that won’t happen in this one.

“We have a game plan and I am going to go out there and execute my game plan and that’s that.  When I fight in the trenches or a war, or I go outbox Manny Pacquiao -- I will win no matter what,” he said.

Meanwhile, Top Rank chief Bob Arum told World Boxing News that whoever wins on April 12 at the MGM Grand will fight the winner between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado later this year.

Marquez and Alvarado will square off on May 17 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

“Whoever comes out on top from Pacquiao vs Bradley and Marquez vs Alvarado, yes, it has been agreed in principle by the four fighters that they will fight in the fall,” Arum said.
