The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Eight-time NCAA Cheerleading champion Altas Perps Squad of University of Perpetual Help capped second place in the National Cheerleading Championship topped by Central Colleges of the Philippines at the MOA Arena last Sunday.

The multi-titled Perps squad, mentored by Ruf Vandolph, thus surpassed its third place finish last year, hopeful of finally making it all the way back to the top next year.

Altas Perps Squad garnered 318 points, just six points behind the CCP Bobcats, who scored 324 points to clinch their fifth NCC championship. The Bobcats also reigned in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Reigning UAAP titlist National U finished third with 315.5 points.
