JT Archers best in NCA derby

MANILA, Philippines - Jun Topacio’s JT Emerald Archers scored 5 1/2 points to emerge solo champion in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City recently.

The AA Vikings of Atong Ang and Mike Romulo, the GQ TMP of Procis Aquino and Osang dela Cruz, and the SF Blue Quartz 2 shared runner-up honors with five points each while Ka Luding’s LB Candelaria & Pugo Combine, the San Juan Col. of Bong Pineda, the Firefly 15 of Ernie Austria, the Pasalamat RT 114 of Atty. Santos, and the PS Cainta King Fireman of Pipo Soliman and Pido Jarencio wound up with four points apiece.

The Goldquest Champions of Osang dela Cruz, the SR Pedro Joshua of Rep. Unabia, and the PS Govic Hot City scored 3 1/2 points each in the weekly event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.

Meanwhile, another top-notch six-cock derby will be held on March 4 to be hosted by Manny and Armand Santos.

Expected to lead the roster are NCA stalwarts Luding Boongaling, Eugene Martin, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Osang dela Cruz, Procis Aquino, Pol Estrellado, Arnold Mendoza, Elan Nagano, Rene Medina, Claude Bautista, Edgar Santos, Ruel Ricafort, Ito Ynares, Ronnie Puno, Bong Pineda, Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Bebot Uy, Brown, Jun Diamante, Jose T.
