Organizers vow bigger Seafair in ’15

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Organizers of Seafair 2014 vowed to feature more attractions and exciting water-related activities when the yacht and marine exposition returns next year at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Bay Terminal.

“We saw more visitors as the trade fair went on. It proved to be a learning experience for all of us and these inputs and insights will serve us well in staging Seafair again next year,” said Ey Bacasmas-Po of organizing Legworks Events.

Po noted that the trade fair’s vast potential “to become a hub where the stakeholders in the yachting and boating industry can come together under one roof to not only buy and sell but also share and exchange ideas for the growth of their respective markets.”

She added the event was also ideal for complimentary enterprises such as travel agencies, hotels, aquatic gear and apparel and beachwear.

Po was looking forward to more exhibitors next year and thanked partners ALS Marine, Tronqued Boats, Tow and Stow Industries, Vikings Lifesaving Device, Nautimus Sports, Eljan Sports and Scan Marine for featuring their yachts, speedboats, game fishing boats, jet skis, leisure craft and lifeboats.

Adm. Dan Villa, a veteran advertising and marketing man, saw expanded possibilities in the event also backed by Ayala Land Premier, Megaworld and Robinsons Land, including engaging students and faculty of maritime schools “since a yacht and marine trade fair is tailor-fit for them.

“This is a chance for them to make their pitch to our visitors on the merits and advantages of seeking a career in the maritime industry.”

Villa also acknowledged the contribution of the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Sailing Association, Philippine Dragon Boat Federation for making the event also supported by Bonne Maman Honey and Preserves and VMV hypoallergenic skin products successful.
