Big Chill, B’water dispute 2nd finals berth

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Big Chill and Blackwater slug it out again today in sudden death of their best-of-three semifinal series in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Arena in San Juan.

The second seeded Superchargers struck back to score a 95-84 victory in Game Two Thursday, forcing a rubber match for the right to face the defending champion NLEX Road Warriors in the finals.

The Elite thumped the Superchargers in the opener, 84-72, but the latter banked on their reserves to stop the former and force a Game Three.

Big Chill rode on a strong second quarter run to turn back Blackwater, which led in the opening period but reeled back in the face of the Superchargers’ fiery charge.

The lone match is set at 3 p.m.
