Poblete, Mare top ABC monthly bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Richie Poblete of Concrete Ventures stamped his class in Group I while Greg Mare of E.S. Vidal Builders dominated Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Poblete rolled a six-game series of 1282 to beat Ryan Jalandoon of Emerald Pipes (1262) and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables (1179) in the premier class of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Mare, on the other hand, assembled a 1041 to defeat Joan Lay of Glass Asia (997) and Shin Suzuki of PNS Advanced Tech. (996) for the Group 2 plum.

Meanwhile, the event, backed by Romari Construction Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, Steeltech, Moldex Pipes, Crown Pipes, Miraga Trading, Boysen Acrytex/Wallguard/Knoxout/Healthy Homes, Duraflex, THW/TW/THHN Wires, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the all-events doubles, also at E Lanes.
