Joey Villar, Nelson Beltran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -- The Talk n Text Tropang Texters felt they got the raw end of the deal in officiating in their knockout duel with the San Mig Coffee Mixers.

Team owner Manny V. Pangilinan posted on his Twitter account: “Very bad officiating tonight. Maxim – sports give fair and equal chances to protagonists. Why can’t we see that, and practice it?”

He also tweeted: “Nayari kami sa 4th quarter.”

Coach Norman Black mentioned his team being called 11 fouls as against San Mig’s one in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, with a career-best 29 points in their own KO match with Alaska Sunday, Japeth Aguilar emerged the scoring leader with a 19.69 clip at the end of the quarters. Jayson Castro (19.29) was second, followed by Jay Washington (19.17), Sol Mercado (18.93) and Gary David (18.33).
