MANILA, Philippines - Rising super-flyweight Richard Claveras gets the spotlight this week as his latest fight against Roy Lagrada serves as the main bout of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner tonight over PTV-4.
Set for six rounds, the Claveras-Lagrada match is presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and Petron.
The 24-year-old Claveras from Silay City, Negros Occidental, is unbeaten in five fights as a pro.
Two preliminary bouts will also be shown in the 7-8 p.m. boxing program.
Toto Landero and Mark Macabales set off the hour-long show with a four-rounder at minimumweight, followed by the match between Philip Luis Cuerdo and Aprilito Agcopra in a similar four-rounder at light-flyweight.
