NCA derby resumes Jan. 28 at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The 2014 National Cockers Alliance (NCA) derby circuit will resume on Feb. 28 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The derby will be hosted by Elan Nagano and Rene Medina and will follow last week’s successful NCA World Championship Derby.

Boy Martinez and Teng Ranola bested the crème de la crème in Philippine cockfighting with their entry “BM Skylark” which posted a winning 7-1/2 points in the event dubbed as “the Olympics of cockfighting.“

Taking runner-up honors in the “toughest and most prestigious derby in the world” was “Lucky Chances RM” of Rene Medina and Jun Velasco with seven points.

Finishing third with six points were “CGV Aldo San Rafael JT” of Mayor Goto and Aldo, “Sagupaan Mite Free” of Rep. Patrick Antonio, “SF Blue Quartz 1” of Bebot Uy, and “GQ San Leo” of Mayor Elan Nagano.

“Flying Horse” of Rep. Panganiban, “CPB AAO” of Gov. Claude Bautista, “JJC Gurkha” of Jesse Carlos and Eric dela Rosa, “Abdijaya-Indo Fantastic” of Nino and Soleh, and “Sundance” of RVP and Phil Sy were also winners with 5-1/2 points each.
