2,000 bets vie in B Pinoy finale

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Sports Commission-Philippine Olympic Committee Batang Pinoy National Finals blasts off in Bacolod City from Jan. 28-Feb. 1.

Around 2,000 athletes will be taking part in 21 sports in the event, the national championships of the country’s centerpiece program for bets aged 15 and below.

Tapped as venues for the hostilities are Panaad Park and Stadium for arnis, athletics, cycling, swimming and triathlon; Pohang Court for badminton; Tay Tung High School for basketball 3-on-3 (boys and girls); Bay Center for boxing; New Government Center for chess; University of St. La Salle for dancesport, gymnastics and volleyball (boys and girls);

Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center for futsal; Robinson’s Place for karatedo; Monte Vista for lawn tennis; University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos for sepak takraw; Bacolod National High School for taekwondo and softball; Lopue’s San Sebastian for table tennis; SM Transport Hub for weightlifting; and Gaisano City for wrestling.
