Tac Padilla SBC Sports Hall of Fame awardee

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - National shooting champion Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla has gained another prestigious award when he was elevated to the 2014 SBC (San Beda College) Sports Hall of Fame.

This is the highest recognition given by the SBC Alumni Association (SBCAA) in cooperation with San Beda College to distinguished Bedan alumni, whose vision, talent, commitment and dedicated service significantly helped shape Philippine sports.

In a congratulatory letter to 49-year-old sportsman/businessman Padilla, SBCAA president Joselito Hautea said: “You have been cited 1) for your significant contribution to the development of sports in the Philippine society, and 2) for best epitomizing and exemplifying the Bedan qualities of work and prayer, thus serving as a role model to members of the Bedan community, and society in general.”

Padilla, the only athlete who has represented the Philippines 17 times in the biennial Southeast Asian Games, and the other awardees will be honored during the traditional Red and White Ball on Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Meralco multi-purpose hall in Ortigas, Pasig City.
