Hard work, guts key Tsui’s amazing feat

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Christopher Joseph “CJ” Tsui of Formula-E Racing joined the rank of elite champion karters in Philippine motorsports history when he captured the overall crown of the recently concluded 2013 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series at the Carmona Racetrack.

Hardwork, determination and sheer luck proved to be the key factors behind his impressive feat in the season climax where the 18-year-old La Salle freshman also bagged both the premiere ROK Senior and ROK Overall crowns with the support of Asia Overseas Transport Co. Inc.

“I’m very happy. This is the closest chance I got to win a championship belt and I don’t want this crown to just slip off my hands. I’m thankful to coach Elson Carpio for making me believe in myself just as he believes in my potentials.  He lifted my spirit from previous frustrations and moreover opened my eyes to greater chances of winning the crown,” said Tsui.

“I give this back to God, my parents and sister who supported me all the way and to all those who believed in me,” he said.
