Dominic Savio, UMak dominate UCSAA volley

MANILA, Philippines - St. Dominic Savio College retained the men’s crown while University of Makati copped the women’s title as they shared top honors in the third Universities, Colleges and Schools Athletic Association (UCSAA) volleyball competitions recently.

UMak finished second overall while De La Salle University-Araneta wound up third in the men’s division.

In women’s play, UMak reigned supreme with La Salle-Araneta finishing second and Colegio de San Lorenzo winding up third.

Pasig Catholic College, meanwhile, dominated the high school boys category while CdSL topped the high school girls division.

CdSL finished second and La Salle-Araneta placed third in high school boys while UMak and La Salle- Araneta ended up second and third, respectively, in high school girls category.

Earlier, CdSL topped the men’s basketball tournament for the second straight year as the Griffins defeated the Pasig Catholic College side, 86-79, at the Ynares Coliseum.

Access Computer College finished third overall.

St. Dominic defeated PCC, 82-58, to rule the junior division with CdSL finishing third.
