Ex-PBA import Bobby Parks Sr. departs

The whole basketball community mourned the death of legendary PBA import Bobby Parks Sr. last March. Parks was the only seven-time PBA Best Import awardee. He was 51.

As a tribute, the PBA decided to name the Best Import award after him.

His death cast doubts on his son Bobby Ray’s future in the Philippines as the younger Parks opted to leave the National University to pursue his NBA dreams after bungling a twice-to-beat advantage in the UAAP Final Four.
