Sinag Pilipinas trumples Thailand, stays undefeated

MANILA, Philippines -- Sinag Pilipinas remained the only unbeaten team in the 27th Southeast Asian Games after dealing Thailand its first loss, 100-68, Friday at the Zeya-thiri Stadium in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.

Naturalized center Marcus Douthit reached double figures for the first time since the opener with 10 points in just 15 minutes even as Jake Pascual of San beda and Kiefer Ravena of Ateneo pumped in 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Filipinos led from start to finish and led by 43 points after the end of three quarters.
They eased up in the final quarter where Thailand outscored them by 11 points, 26-15, but still not enough to deny them the convincing victory.

Sinag Pilipinas eyes to sweep their remaining games against Indonesia and Malaysia to clinch the gold.
